The annual fixture against Bromsgrove School was played on Saturday 18th May. This year's iPubs team consisted of 6 Old Bromsgrovians ranging in age from recent leavers, to those who left many years ago!

The iPubs found the competition tough, and the Bromsgrove students made the most of their home advantage and took a 2-1 lead after the first round of matches. The iPubs used their 'experience' in the second round, and soon made amends winning all three matches, with a key match won by Paul Cowie and James, winning a deciding tie-break having saved 5 match points. This put the iPUBS 4-2 up going into the final round.
Bromsgrove School fought hard in the last round, but the iPUBS managed to win the match they needed, resulting in the final score of the fixture being 5-4 to the Independent and Public School Boys LTA.
The match was enjoyed by all, and played in good spirits, and it was finished off nicely with some pork baps and beers, which has now become a tradition of the fixture. Thanks to the Bromsgrove School and Director of Tennis, Richard Lawton, for once again putting on a great fixture, and match supper.
