The annual iPubs vs St George's College fixture took place this year on Saturday June 8th, on the excellent grass and indoor hard courts at the College.

With the looming rain holding off for the first round, the match opened on the grass with the iPubs' 1st pair of Jamie Boden and Matt Bates comfortably beating the St George's 2nd pair after getting off to a slow start, while on the adjacent court the iPubs' 2nd pair of Chris Jenkins and Kristian Hunter took on the St George's 1st pair. This proved to be a closely fought encounter, where the iPubs managed to win many of the close games and eventually came out on top comprehensively.

As the second round of matches were about to begin, an unfortunate 10 minute sprinkle of rain was enough to close the grass courts for the day, resulting in the second round being completed indoors. Both iPubs pairs adapted much better to the change in conditions compared to the St George’s pairs, resulting in both pairs coming through strongly, leaving the iPubs with a 4-0 victory overall.
